Free! Bring your lunch, Cookies and beverages provided

As we get older our bodies have different needs, so certain nutrients become especially important for good health.

At this lecture participants, family and caregivers will learn about achieving the best whole body nutrition and quality of life for older adults while providing comfort and enjoyment during meal times.

Learn some tips on how to help older adults maintain healthy nutrition as they navigate serious illness.

Athena Nofziger RDN, LD, a registered dietitian with Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care, will have some time to answer your questions about nutrition and wellness as we age.

Athena Nofziger RDN, LD is registered dietitian with Lumina. Athena specializes in oncology and culinary nutrition. With her focus on anti-inflammatory and plant based nutrition Athena supports her clients to meet their wellness goals throughout the life cycle. Athena also works on the family farm with her husband. They grow a variety of vegetables seeds for food production, grass seed and hazelnuts. Athena loves being part of the food production process from farm to table.
