Chaplain Chosen to Serve on the Hospice and Palliative Care Committee of the Spiritual Care Association

Scott Wilson, chaplain of Benton Hospice Service in Corvallis, has been chosen to serve on the Hospice and Palliative Care Chaplaincy Committee for the Spiritual Care Association.

The association is a multidisciplinary, international professional membership association for spiritual care providers. The association establishes evidence-based quality indicators, scope of practice, and a knowledge base for spiritual care in health care.

Hospice is a team approach to care. The hospice patient care team is comprised of physician, registered nurse case manager, medical social worker, therapists, hospice aide, bereavement counselor, volunteer and the chaplain.
