Pet Peace of Mind allows patients to complete their end of life journey without worrying about their pet’s current or future needs. The initiative provides volunteer pet care services for patients who are unable to care for their pets while on hospice. Pet Peace of Mind is a national program offered to nonprofit hospices by Senior Pet Care Resource Network (SPCRN).
Pet Peace of Mind is one of the many extra services that Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care offers our patients. We have trained volunteer support to help meet pet-related needs like dog walking, pet transportation, and assistance in finding permanent homes for pets when needed. We can provide financial assistance with pet food and litter, routine veterinary appointments, vaccines, flea treatment, grooming, spays and neuters.
We are grateful for donations from the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine.
