At Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care we believe that a better understanding of the end-of-life process leads to a better quality of living. We offer a number of additional services to the community, patients, and families dealing with life-limiting illnesses. These services are provided free of charge, supported by grants and donations, and are open to anyone in the Mid-Willamette Valley who is impacted by the end-of-life process, regardless of their participation in hospice care.
Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care is a community resource for end-of-life care. We welcome opportunities to speak to groups, residents in retirement or assisted living settings, schools, and healthcare providers. Presentations can cover a wide array of topics, including information on hospice services, dealing with life-limiting illness, and caregiving. Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care also offers information on end-of-life topics through a lending library.
Caring for a loved one over the course of an illness is an act of devotion that can be incredibly challenging. That’s why Lumina provides guidance for caregivers through education and support groups. These groups help caregivers learn how to manage their own physical and emotional well-being while caring for a loved one.
Grieving is an important and necessary part of adjusting to and coping with a death, and we strive to be a resource for education, support, and counseling to those in need. Grief services, including support groups, individual counseling, and referrals are available for community members of any age.
