Open Heart Community Memorial Now On Display

Grief softens when we name and acknowledge our losses.

Nearly 300 names were submitted to Lumina’s Open Heart Community Memorial. The community also submitted other losses such as “sharing meals” and “teaching in person”, as well as hopes for the future.

A separate heart sculpture displayed over 2,800 dark purple ribbons to represent the individual COVID-19 deaths in Oregon. The hearts were on display at Starker Arts Park in Corvallis this past Saturday and are now on display at Lumina’s Community Resource Center on 4th street in Corvallis. Lumina invites the community to view the display in our windows on SW B avenue.

Lumina offers grief support free of charge to anyone in the community, regardless of your relation to hospice. Visit our website to learn more about the grief support we offer click here.
